We have seen the press coverage in the FT regarding Ballymore recently and recognise the issues it raised, some of which we have also dealt with at Pan Peninsula. Whilst we were not consulted for the FT press article, it does raise some issues which we have seen and taken action on. The PPLRA tookContinue reading “Membership update & Press coverage – 14/03”

Context: Per previous posts, balcony remediation works to replace our timber balcony decking with non-flammable material, are now required to satisfy compliance with the UK Government’s updated building regulations (Ministry of Housing and Local Government guidance, issued Jan 2020). Amenities closure & construction of the park by the forecourt
Closure As many of you will have seen from b.life, Ballymore have now taken the decision to close all amenity spaces in their buildings including Pan P as of last night. Cabling in residential hallways and lift lobbies; West Tower floors near 33rd floor
We’ve been alerted to an unauthorised surface installation of cables on the 33rd floor of the West Tower by BT’s sub-contractors, who were running unsightly surface cabling in the residential hallways and lift lobbies. Unfortunately 4 floors near and on the 33rd floor were affected before building management were alerted and put a stop toContinue reading “Cabling in residential hallways and lift lobbies; West Tower floors near 33rd floor”

Capital projects: We’ve been informed that delays have been encountered to the large capital projects at Pan P; this is the external lights and wet area and gym refurbishment in the health club. We’ve written to Ballymore on both asking for a timeline as to when these will go ahead. We’ll update here as soonContinue reading “Capital projects, 2020 H1 Service Charge Demand, Fire Safety ‘Report’”
